WHAT IT IS
Mac Minicon is a celebration of science fiction, fantasy, and visionary creativity through stories, art, history, games, science, and ideas. All humans are welcome.
Cosplay experts from popular sci-fi fandoms
Demonstrations of medieval combat and artistry
Active artist in residence working live and in public
Dealers with vintage sci-fi novels, fan art, sci-fi and fantasy books, and games galore!!
Cosplay contest!!!
Reception to meet authors, artists, and presenters.

Workshops and panels including fantasy map making, cosplay tips, and building rich characters and worlds for your gameplay or writing
The event is public and open to all. There is unlimited access to activities, dealers, and demonstrations. Even if you can't get a workshop ticket, it's worth coming down!!!
Workshops and panels have very limited space!!!! Advance registration is required!!!! Tickets are free, but are very limited.

Indoors
Workshops, panels, and author sessions take place inside Bierly Brewing. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Outdoor events are open to all and totally free to attend!
Gaming Afterparty

Where is the event located?
Mac Minicon is taking place at two locations:
Bierly Brewing,624 NE 3rd Street
Rip’N’Card Trick, 125 NE Hwy 99
Both are in McMinnville, Oregon! The main event will be at Bierly Brewing, right in the heart of town, surrounded by great food and shops.
When is the event happening?
Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 19, 2025. The festival runs from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You can stop by anytime during those hours. Come for the whole afternoon or just drop in. Plan ahead so you don’t miss your favorite panels or demos!

You’ll find panels, workshops, artist tables, vendors, live demos, cosplay fun, and music. Whether you love books, toys, games, or art, there’s something for you. Meet creators, browse unique finds, and soak up the festival atmosphere. It’s a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and community.

We’ll post a detailed schedule closer to the event, so stay tuned. Expect things like author talks, map-making demos, and hands-on activities. Everything’s designed to inspire and delight fans of sci-fi and fantasy.
Do I need a ticket?
Admission is entirely free, and you can just come and enjoy the day! The workshops and panels DO require a ticket because space is very limited. You can register for tickets at our ticket registration page on Ticket Tailor. Everyone is welcome to attend attend the demonstrations, dealers, and fun activities outside without a ticket.
Should I still come if I can’t get a ticket?
Absolutely! There’s so much to see and do beyond the workshops. Enjoy panels, demos, music, shopping, art displays, and the lively festival energy. Mac Minicon is about more than any one activity — it’s about the whole experience. Come explore and be inspired!
